Location: Carrollton, GA
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000
Relocation Package: Partial (Negotiable)
Travel Required: Up to 60% domestic and 50% international
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Process Engineer III to oversee the installation, commissioning, and startup of SCR projects. This is a hands-on role, where you will manage projects from planning to execution, ensuring successful system implementations for copper and aluminum rod mills. The ideal candidate should have significant experience in process engineering, with the ability to work independently and lead teams in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the installation and start-up of SCR systems, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Act as a site engineer, coordinating engineering and start-up activities for SCR projects.
- Lead the development of new equipment and techniques, selecting and evaluating appropriate hardware and software.
- Train customers and new employees on the operation and maintenance of SCR systems through various forms of communication (e.g., discussions, publications, presentations).
- Provide technical expertise and suggestions to improve SCR equipment and processes.
- Respond to technical questions from customers and employees.
- Produce detailed daily progress reports during startup and service visits.
- Write comprehensive trip reports after customer visits.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering OR a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in process engineering or operations management in industrial processing systems.
- Experience with combustion management systems and molten metal processing systems is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage site projects, including planning, budgeting, and coordinating with customers and suppliers.
- Strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and adaptability to changing project needs.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in process engineering or operations management.
- Ability to use or learn AutoCAD.
- Fluent in a second language (Hindi, Chinese, Arabic, or Russian) is a plus.
