Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Structural Engineer to join our team in Mobile, AL. In this senior-level role, you will provide supervision and technical direction over a team of engineers and designers, ensuring the timely delivery of civil and structural engineering projects that meet quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead a team in delivering civil and structural engineering services.
• Review and approve all civil/structural deliverables to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Validate professional service and construction estimates, tracking changes throughout project life cycles.
• Establish design criteria and ensure compliance with state, local, and federal standards and codes.
• Communicate effectively with project teams, ensuring all deliverables are on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Produce detailed design calculations and specifications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to good engineering practices.
• Lead the development of conceptual layouts and cost studies to optimize engineering tasks.

Ideal Background:

• Education: Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited university is required, with structural coursework.
• Experience: 15+ years of relevant industrial experience in civil and structural engineering.
• Registration: Professional Engineering License in the State of Alabama is required.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in civil/structural design and engineering software, including AutoCAD and Microstation.
• Strong knowledge of engineering design standards and CAD drafting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead teams and deliver presentations.
• Ability to create accurate civil/structural documents and specifications based on vendor equipment drawings.
