Position Overview:

We are seeking experienced Folder Gluer Operators to join our team in Peachtree City, GA. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality folded cartons for the food packaging industry. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with folder/gluer machines and a strong background in food packaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine Operation: Operate and adjust folder/gluer machines to produce printed packaging material according to customer specifications. Troubleshoot and monitor machine operations for optimal performance.
  • Preparation and Adjustments: Prepare the gluer by controlling feeding, handling, and inverting of blanks. Set automatic loading and maintain steady, precise feeding at all speeds. Make necessary adjustments to meet quality standards.
  • Make-Ready Tasks: Perform various make-ready tasks to ensure high productivity and precision. Resolve defects and make adjustments to produce high-quality products.
  • Supervision: Oversee General Technicians working on the equipment, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Review completed jobs for quality and accuracy. Ensure that all products meet customer expectations and adhere to ISO standards.
  • Safety and Cleanliness: Adhere to OHSE policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Follow all safety procedures and handle hazardous materials according to guidelines.
  • Communication and Leadership: Interact with team members to promote respect and cooperation. Provide feedback, motivate the crew, and conduct team meetings to ensure high performance.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or GED.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of operation experience with folder/gluer equipment within the food packaging industry.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, basic computer and mathematical skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift in excess of 30 lbs, and perform various physical tasks including bending, stooping, and reaching. Must have manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination.

  • Work Hours: Standard shifts with potential for overtime.
