Overview

We are seeking a Human Systems Integration Engineer III to integrate human considerations into the engineering and development of NAVWAR systems. This role involves comprehensive assessments of requirements, concepts, and resources across multiple domains to enhance operational effectiveness.

Essential Job Functions

  • Provide recommendations for policy and products to resolve enterprise-wide challenges and conflicts.
  • Assess and advise on the development and publication of Naval Operational Architectures (NOA), ensuring consistency in the RDT&E life cycle.
  • Participate in the design, development, testing, and implementation of network/web-based collaboration tools for NAVWAR engineering.
  • Offer technical support for developing enterprise architectures to support Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) efforts.

Required Skills

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
  • ABET accredited BS in an engineering discipline, physical science, or mathematics, with 6 years in Government-related R&D, Test and Evaluation (T&E), and systems acquisition programs.
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant Human Systems Integration (HSI) engineering experience, including at least 3 of the following:
    • HSI design, installation, integration, and test support.
    • Multi-domain HSI engineering analysis and impact assessments.
    • Development of design documentation/specifications.
    • HSI-related engineering requirements and performance analysis.
    • HSI test planning, conduct, analysis, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with systems of systems (SoS) interface management controls and documentation standards.
  • Understanding of risks associated with NOA Architecture development and implementation.
  • Experience evaluating cybersecurity approaches to support system design efforts.
  • Knowledge of certification functions involved in the NAVWAR Information Assurance Technical Authority mission, including Risk Management Framework (RMF) and cybersecurity readiness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) system documentation.
