Job Title: Injection Molding Process Technician

Location: Shillington, NY, USA
Salary Range: $62,088 - $80,000 per year
Shift: Swing shift - alternates weekly between 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm, with 3rd shift from 11pm-7am
Bonus: Up to $10,000 (Sign-on and Relocation)

Position Summary:

As an Injection Molding Process Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of yourself and your team while overseeing mold installation and process optimization. You will work closely with engineering and shift technicians to enhance plant productivity and ensure high-quality production.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and actively participate in safety audits. Demonstrate leadership in maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Mold Management: Perform new mold inspections, installation, and setup. Ensure proper mold installation procedures are followed.
  • Troubleshooting: Utilize mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills to analyze and resolve issues with tooling, processes, and machines.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with engineering on new process development and productivity initiatives. Work with shift technicians to enhance process efficiencies.
  • Quality Control: Understand and apply quality systems to interpret data related to the molding process. Maintain accurate documentation and data communication.
  • Additional Duties: Work overtime as required and assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of five years of hands-on practical experience in plastic injection molding.
  • Education: Technical degree preferred (minimum two years).
  • Skills: Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, knowledge of IQMS system, and basic PC literacy.
  • Testing: Must pass Work Keys Mathematics and Technical Aptitude testing.
  • Knowledge: Working knowledge of molding processes, new mold inspection, installation, and setup.
