Job Description
As a Maintenance Technician II, you will support manufacturing operations by performing multi-craft equipment maintenance with a focus on reliability and maintainability. You will be responsible for ensuring the sustainable operation of machinery and equipment through preventive maintenance and may contribute to process improvement and problem-solving teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repairs: Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions, perform preventive maintenance on motors, conveyor systems, and production machinery.
- Technical Skills: Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and OEM manuals; handle mechanical and electrical tasks including alignment of mechanical drive systems and electrical wiring repairs.
- Equipment Management: Install, maintain, and replace parts or components; adjust equipment to operational specifications and ensure lubrication requirements are met.
- Training and Mentoring: Mentor and train junior technicians on maintenance practices and procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance records and historical data.
General Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; 2-year technical degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in industrial manufacturing or comparable skills.
- Skills: Strong mechanical and electrical background, proficiency with computer applications (e.g., Word, Excel, CMMS), and ability to read precision measuring devices.
- Certifications: Successful completion of certification testing required.
