Position Overview:
The B-Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production activities at a pork processing plant. This role involves managing staffing, ensuring the production line runs smoothly, maintaining safety standards, and supporting team development. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of production workers to ensure high production, quality, and yields while maintaining a safe working environment.
- Production Oversight: Review daily production orders, ensure all positions are filled before start-up, and monitor the production line for quality and efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance: Promote safety through daily practices and monthly meetings, ensuring compliance with USDA standards.
- Team Development: Provide training, mentorship, and retention support for team members, and ensure clear communication of company policies and benefits.
- Inventory & Shipments: Manage product coding, inventory rotation, and timely shipments.
- Documentation: Ensure accurate records are maintained for production, staffing, and maintenance activities.

Requirements:
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a meat manufacturing environment is required, with prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Education: High school diploma required; additional education such as vocational school or college courses is preferred.
- Computer Skills: Basic computer skills are helpful.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills are essential for managing a team and ensuring effective operations.
- Supervisory Experience: Must be comfortable leading and managing a team.
- Travel: Requires 1-5 trips per year.
